Mission & Values

Mission

To provide rehabilitative services to individuals to achieve social reintegration.

Values

  • Integrity: We are trustworthy, respectful, ethical, and accountable for our actions.
  • Compassion: We are understanding, caring, empathetic to others, and have a strong desire to help people.
  • Empowerment: We create an environment and provide resources that allow individuals to make effective decisions and take necessary actions.
  • Safety and Security: We ensure agency stability through policies, procedures, and practices that are designed to protect the staff, our clients, and the community.

What We Do

Centre's role is to enhance public safety by offering programs to effectively supervise, treat, and rehabilitate justice-involved individuals in a community-based, transitional residential setting. We provide safe, structured, and supervised living environments for individuals who receive individual case management, mental health and substance abuse services to address their needs for successful reintegration to society.

Individuals receiving services through Centre take an active role in their rehabilitation through the creation of their individual performance plan. Centre also provides crisis stabilization and treatment services to individuals through partnerships with human service centers in North Dakota.

Our facilities frequently undergo scheduled and unscheduled inspections to ensure compliance with contractual, safety, sanitation, and health standards.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy centers on providing evidence-based, cost-effective programs that prioritize public safety and hold individuals accountable for their actions while preparing them for productive lifestyles. We incorporate the eight Evidence-Based Principles for Effective Interventions into our programs and develop community partnerships by networking with other service providers in the reintegration and transition process.

We firmly believe individuals can change and that each person should have the opportunity to develop their potential to rebuild their lives, assume responsibility for their actions, and become law-abiding citizens. Our approach emphasizes positive reinforcement to encourage prosocial behavior, using progressive discipline to allow individuals to learn from their mistakes while holding them accountable for their actions.

Funding

Centre is funded through contracts with local, state, and federal agencies, resident/client program fees, as well as grants and donations. Annually, we serve more than 1,500 individuals in our residential units through contracts with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, as well as local courts and jails.
