Centre Takes Over Community Service Program in Cass County

Centre Takes Over Community Service Program in Cass County

In October 2024, after 30 years of service to our community, RESTORE closed their doors. Over the years, they offered many vital programs for justice-involved community members in Cass County; one of which being the Community Service Supervision Program.

In the fall of 2024, RESTORE Executive Director Kelsey Augustin reached out to Centre to inquire whether Centre would be interested in becoming the Community Service Supervision Program provider for Cass County. Knowing the importance of maintaining this sentencing option for the courts and individuals who complete community service hours, along with the value community service brings to local nonprofits and public entities, Centre readily agreed to take over the program. Over the course of several weeks, Centre worked closely with RESTORE to meet and develop relationships with participating community service providers, referral sources, and courts.

Currently, Centre’s Cass County program, overseen by Program Supervisor Samantha Ellis, supervises 47 juvenile and adult participants. Centre also provides Community Service Supervision Programs for Burleigh, Morton, Kidder, Emmons, and Oliver counties in North Dakota, which are overseen by Program Supervisor Alex Crabbe.
