Employee Spotlight
Centre currently employs 189 individuals across facilities in Fargo, Grand Forks, Mandan, and Williston. Each employee plays a valuable role in Centre’s mission to help individuals achieve social reintegration. Centre’s Wellness Committee has developed a new employee recognition program in which employees can be nominated for demonstrating a featured core value.
Centre’s core values are Integrity, Compassion, Empowerment, and Safety & Security. Below is a spotlight on December’s winner for Compassion, Deaja Muñoz, along with a list of the winners from July through November!
December’s winner for Compassion was Case Manager Deaja Muñoz who joined Centre in January 2023 and works in Centre’s Grand Forks location.
Here is what a couple of Deaja’s coworkers had to say about her:
Deaja is the epitome of a compassionate person. I'm pretty sure if you look up the definition of compassion in a dictionary, her name would be listed as an example. Deaja shows compassion by speaking to others with kindness and by listening carefully and without judgement. She has empathy for those around her, which builds rapport and respect from her residents and her coworkers. She has a willingness to help others without the expectation of getting something in return. Deaja is an all-star!
Deaja is always willing to lend a hand even if she is busy with work. She answers questions honestly and does not make others feel bad for asking them. Whenever a resident is being disrespectful towards staff and staff cannot get them to calm down, Deaja steps in and has a conversation with them.
